Agilent 7890 GC with Nickel Catalyst / Methanizer and FID

The Agilent 7890 (G3440A/G3440B) is a state-of-the-art gas chromatograph that provides superior performance for all applications. Key to its performance is the use of advanced electronic pneumatic control (EPC) modules and high performance GC oven temperature control. Each EPC unit is optimized for its intended use with a specific inlet and detector option.

The G3440-63002 Nickel Catalyst, or Methanizer, is used on the gas chromatograph for trace analysis of CO and CO₂ with a flame ionization detector (FID). The gas sample is separated on the column and passed over the hot catalyst in the presence of hydrogen, which converts the CO and CO₂ peaks to CH₄.
