This Bruker Sequenom MassARRAY Nanodispenser Maldi-TOF Spectrometer is in great condition. It successfully powers on, however we don’t have the resources to fully test and refurbish this instrument.

The Sequenom MassARRAY MALDI system is a flexible platform that delivers a wide range of applications for quantitative and qualitative genomic analysis. The MassArray delivers unparalleled sensitivity and specificity using MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. This benchtop MALDI-TOF has a small footprint and is a fully automated systems that delivers high quality results. The software package included with the Sequenom MassArray MALDI includes integrated auto calibration and 2D barcode reading for reliable, traceable results. The Sequenom MassArray Nanodispenser RS1000 can run quick sample transfers onto a spectrochip assay and is configured to hold up to two microplates plates. Easily run 384 samples in under ten minutes with this robust MALDI TOF Mass Spec. The Sequenom MassARRAY are ideally suited for assays such as SNP Genotyping, Methylation Analysis, Comparative Sequence Analysis, Quantitative Gene Expression and SNP Genotyping. The Sequenom MassArray Mass Spec has it all including the ability to scale up as your laboratory needs continue to grow. This system is ideal for investigating 10 to 50 genes at a time. In addition, quantitative gene expression can be ran through competitive PCR Method combined with iPLEX Gold Assay and multiplex reactions.

The TOF measurement procedure is also ideally suited to the MALDI ionization process since the pulsed laser takes individual ‘shots’ rather than working in continuous operation. MALDI-TOF instrument or reflectron is equipped with an “ion mirror” that reflects ions using an electric field, thereby doubling the ion flight path and increasing the resolution.

MALDI has been coupled with IMS-TOF MS to identify phosphorylated and non-phosphorylated peptides.
